Even a computer works better when we shut it down and recharge the battery.
Imagine that we kept our computer going non stop and only charged it a little at a time, we would be consistently plugging it in. As humans, we plug into caffeine, sugar and other “energy” foods to get us through. Its not an ideal pattern and one that quickly leads to other health issues. Pretty soon we are in a spiral, caffeine to wake up and alcohol to wind down.
If only you had to change a couple of things to go directly to improve your sleep and no longer rely on anything else to get you out of bed in the morning. The trouble is that you don’t know what it is that you need to change, everyone is different.
